I got down, let my attitude slip, and almost called some friends over for a pity party. I didn't even blog yesterday. Wasn't in the mood.
But, today I was reminded that things aren't so bad. It's all a matter of how you look at them. It could be so much worse. I mean, how many people don't have a car? How many people must take a bus or rely on friends and family for their transportation needs?
Here's the thing. We can look at the things that happen to us either as the most horrible thing ever. Or we can look for the good. My husband is always telling me not to let others dictate my spirituality. And he's right. I can't let others decide how I look at things, how I deal with life.
Sure, I could be bitter about having to spend money on the car. But, I can be grateful I have a car, that I have the money to fix it, and that because it's been fixed, it's less likely to break down an leave me on the side of the road.
I chose to look for the good. To see the positive. I don't like myself when I get in the mood to throw a pity party. I'm not fun to be around.
I encourage you to make an effort to be positive too. :-)
