Hi, I'm Jean and I'm a procrastinator. In fact, I put the "pro" in procrastinate. I'm very good at procrastination. If there were awards for the best procrastination, I'd definitely win. If I finally entered...I'd probably procrastinate on sending in the entry form until too late. Let's just add a deep sigh here.
I'm actually procrastinating on several things now. Things that I need to get done but just don't feel (?) like doing. I've even been procrastinating on writing this blog which is why it's noon and nothing is posted or even finished.
But that leads me to today's post. Procrastination is a serious issue for some of us. The other night, I was procrastinating on Facebook and a TED talk came across my feed. Now, I like a good TED talk so I checked it out...which led me to watching 5 or 6 other TED talks and before I knew it, I'd been down the TED talk rabbit hole for over an hour. And since it was a talk on procrastination that started the whole thing, it was kinda ironic.
I'm going to share the talk below, and I encourage you to watch it. It's not only funny but it makes a serious point. I'll let you figure that out but let me know what you think in the comments. I'd love to discuss how your instant gratification monkey sidetracks you until the panic monster shows up.
Now, I've off to the kitchen to see if there is anything new in the fridge since I last checked ten minutes ago. :-)
