Now that it is almost the end of the year, thoughts naturally turn to the coming year. At least they do for me. I find myself thinking about what I want to accomplish and all the things I want to do or get done. Thing is, like many others, I often procrastinate about such things and nothing gets done.
So, as I look back on the year about to end and look forward to the one about to start, I'm going to do things a bit differently. I'm setting goals, making a plan, and have committed to following through.
It's so easy to make plans but again, that follow through is sometimes tough. We have to get out of our comfort zone and take risks, do things we've not done before. But it's also exciting.
Another thing I'm doing is getting rid of stuff. For example, I have clothes I haven't warn in ages. Why should they sit in the closet taking up space? Better to donate to a cause. For example, there is a resale store in town that helps homeless/battered women.
And email...I get so much junk email. Sure, it's easy to just delete it but there is is again the next day. So, I've decided to hit the unsubscribe button instead. Yes, it is a bit time-consuming but after only three days, I've taken my morning email from 20+ to 7 this morning. It was so nice this morning to see things I wanted and not a bunch I didn't.
Here's another tool I'll be using. The 90X Goal Planner.
I really like this. And believe me, I've used lots of planners...we'll, I've tried to use a lot of planners. This planner is all about goals and accomplishing them. In fact, defining my goals for the next 90 days is one of the things I'll be focusing on today.
So, here's today's thought... What are you doing to get ready for the new year? Using any special tools such as planners, or apps?
