Daily Action Plan

,Do you have a plan? Or do you just wing it?

I'm sure you have a general idea of the things you need to accomplish each day, but do you have a plan to get those things done? I mean, without a specific plan, even if it's just a to-do list, things sometimes don't get done that really need to be.

I have to admit, I'm not a big planner. I've been winging it for a long time. I get most things done though occasionally something will slip through the crack of my busy day. And I usually remember just about the time I fall asleep.  Big sigh here. :-)

That said, one thing I'm working on this year is to be more deliberate. To be more organized. I don't mind being organized, it's the "getting" organized I dislike.

I'm looking at several action planners. Trying to find one that works for me or that I can tweak a bit. I'm a big tweaker.

Here's some things my daily action planner will include.

Personal enrichment time - If I want to grow as a person, I need to continue to learn. Things like marketing, how to make the best use of social media, and of course, how to improve my writing.

Family time - I need to be deliberate and make time to spend with my family.

Fitness time - I sit at the computer most of the day so I need to be reminded to get up and move.

Me time - This is time to relax, maybe read some for fun or play a quick game on the puter.

Spiritual time - We all need to do something for our "spirit"  and maybe I'll add in some meditation.

What would you add to the list?

I love that you add spiritual time to your planner. I've been carving out time each day for that for years and it makes a huge difference in how energy and life flows. Great article.

Spiritual time is important. It really does make a difference.

I love the distinction between being organized and getting organized. Once there, it’s sustainable. But, like dealing with clearing clutter, the organizing always seems to get worse before it gets better.

I like what you write about daily action plan. I make plans on my personal planner for scheduling appointments. I also like to make a bible study planner for myself. I feel peace when I am alone, read my daily devotions. Thank you for sharing your post :-)
